Commissions are open

Have a special request or idea you want to turn into a reality?

I take commissions of all kinds, and am often working on multiple projects at once. I also dry out my ceramic work very slowly, making it likely with custom projects that there will be 2-3 months between purchase to final product.

Please feel free to message me through the “contact me” link at the bottom of this page, or message on Instagram with any questions about special projects. I am always open to collaborate when I have the time, I enjoy creating custom work immensely.

All pieces are created using lead-free glazes and are dishwasher safe unless agreed upon otherwise.

Currently shipping only within the United States.

Custom Ceramic Critter Mugs

These adorable hand-made mugs can be customized with your pet or favorite critter to add a truly special touch to your daily activities. Choose your own shape, texture, color scheme, and subject. Maybe even a secret message on the bottom?

I have limited custom project slots available at a time. To claim one of these spots, locate the “custom mug” option in my shop. :)

Once the purchase has been confirmed, you and I will communicate over email or Instagram DMs to discuss your vision.

Limitations:

I shy away from making mugs that feature pure-bred dogs or cats, as I am a firm believer in “Adopt, don’t Shop” ethics. If you have a rescue dog, cat, or bunny I am more than happy to make them in sculptural form.

How it’s Made

I work at multiple Ceramic studios in Santa Cruz, California, giving me access to a wide variety of clay bodies, glazes, and firing techniques. Sometimes I am creating at my workplace, sometimes at school, sometimes in my garage or even on the go!

As is common in community studios, the quality and quantity of glazes I have access to vary wildly throughout the year. This is dependent on many variables, so I try not to make promises on how things will come out. Most of the control I have over a design exists when the work is still green-ware (raw, unfired clay).

After that point, you need to worry about cracking, chipping, under-firing, over-firing, crazing, crawling, off-gassing, warping… you name it. Anyone who does ceramics would agree, there is a lot of chance involved in getting a piece glazed and fired successfully. It takes experience and optimism.

I hope to take the viewer along my creative journey, posting progress pictures and content regularly on my Instagram.
